pixie’s poetry

to write poetry
on a napkin or across your chest a tattoo on a hairless calf
my tongue dipping into you tasting your ink
remember when i was an artist your dancer, a ballerina
I can still hear the music
spinning spinning
i am now your canvas
colors pink and red
bleeding blue
the bed damp
tulle torn
let’s ignore the dark
closed eyes mean goodnight goodnight means goodbye
Are you sleeping?
i will be your instrument
let’s stay up late
and paint
i sit on the edge of you
and keep you awake
you play me until i sleep
your lips swollen and warm
mine quiet now
you have
stopped the music to
fold me back into the leather case hidden beneath the bed
blue paint staining the sheets

He Retreats

he retreats

he retreats like driftwood
rolling over broken shells

into who he was
the day she found him
a castaway idol

washed ashore

where
flesh colored dreams
spill open
across  sand
seeking the salvation
she gave to him
there, look at that haven in her hands
where flickering darkened
thoughts consume

and are
swallowed and moments
become ages there in that ocean
of hers where everything is blue
silver and damp
look  at her footprints
small holes greedily sucking

salt water
impetuous

final retractions of tide,
moon and sky.
where everything is washed away.

Rice

white as rice
sticky
the kind i won’t eat
the color scares me
nothing chewed is that pure white like cotton panties
the ones you took from me and said i wouldn’t need
so you eat me naked
with chopsticks
the rice left on the lilac paper drying
pushed to the side
in your mouth i tumble
still wet when you swallow leaving me chewed up Alone
you leave when you are full cleaning the table
scraping your plate
you rinse your mouth
you always do
I hope you don’t swallow And wash me away

 Max
this is nothing
you sit looking down
assessing the sand that is damp on your toes
or maybe you are looking at my ass
your hand rests there on the small of my back
i’ve rolled over to see you better
music is between us
we laugh and sing along
sunshine is everywhere
and we are lovers
nothing is sometimes everything you counter
i know you are right
but i only nod
i want your toes
i want you, all of you
i want the sand sticky on our legs
to scrape and irritate my thighs as the great wave of you
crashes over me
rolling over me I have melted to you
it is everything
and yet it has to be nothing
your slender fingers stroke up my back
I’m damp from the sea
i want to be taken there among the black mussels and scattered seashells
emerge a sea goddess with sea weed hanging from my breast
i want you
you are so civilized in your baseball cap
you sing and your mouth is the sunshine and the sand
and i love you
i want to crawl into your mouth
we are lovers
and it is everything
lets shower first you say
we watch the sea go down the drain
the sand washes away from your toes
as if it were nothing

  1. I LOVE your poetry Pixie.

You are so pure, honest, fresh and true.

Your deeply expressive soul moves mine, every time, in every line.

    You inspire me!

  2. I liked the line, ‘look at the haven in her hands’ and the line small holes greedily sucking salt water”. Very good! You are quite good at poetry. I hope that you’ll publish more.
